The ESG Advisor Certificate Singapore Edition is a globally recognised, fast-track certification programme developed by Financial Regulation Courses (FRC) for finance professionals and graduates across Singapore. As one of Asia's premier financial hubs and a leading centre for green finance and sustainable investment in the Asia-Pacific region, Singapore presents significant opportunities for qualified ESG Advisors across investment banking, asset management, and corporate sectors. FRC equips professionals with the knowledge, analytical skills, and practical expertise to lead sustainable investment strategies, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive responsible financial decision-making. Upon passing the FRC proctored examination, candidates receive a Certificate of Achievement with lifelong validity, recognised by employers across Singapore, Asia-Pacific, and internationally.
Build specialist knowledge in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) investing and sustainable finance with the ESG Advisor Certificate — Singapore Edition from Financial Regulation Courses.
Our Singapore Edition is designed to develop a comprehensive understanding of ESG principles and their application across Singapore's financial markets, while providing a strong foundation for professionals seeking to develop careers across international financial markets.
The programme brings together ESG investment strategies, sustainability analysis, portfolio construction, ESG reporting, regulatory requirements, governance and ethical considerations, giving you the knowledge to understand how ESG factors are incorporated into investment and financial decision-making.
Singapore is one of Asia's leading international financial centres, making it a strong foundation for professionals seeking careers that extend beyond a single domestic market. Throughout the programme, we examine ESG and sustainable finance through a Singapore-focused perspective while developing the broader international understanding required to operate across global financial markets.
The programme is suitable for graduates beginning their careers in financial services, professionals working across investment management, investment analysis, compliance and related roles, and career changers looking to develop specialist knowledge in ESG and sustainable finance.
The Singapore Edition also provides a foundation for global career development. As your career progresses, you can expand your knowledge into additional jurisdictions through our multi-jurisdiction extensions, with pathways available across 13 financial jurisdictions.
These extensions allow you to build on your Singapore foundation and develop additional jurisdiction-specific knowledge as you pursue opportunities across international financial markets.
The programme also provides enhanced employer relevance across Asia, the United States and European financial markets, helping you develop an understanding of the different regulatory, market and professional environments that shape ESG and sustainable finance internationally.
We deliver the ESG Advisor Certificate as a structured self-study programme through flipbook and PDF study materials, with audio transcription available to support your learning. Each module is supported by chapter-by-chapter assessments, with unlimited resits available to help reinforce your knowledge.
The programme contains 9 modules and 10 assessed components, with a recommended study commitment of approximately 80–100 hours.
Completing the ESG Advisor Certificate is only part of developing your professional profile. Financial Regulation Courses Membership gives you the tools to make your development visible while you continue building your knowledge.
Your FRC Membership connects your professional development, course activity and career profile in one place, giving you a practical way to demonstrate that you are actively developing the knowledge required for a career in financial services.
Your FRC Digital Profile gives employers and hiring managers a real-time view of the courses you are actively studying and the progress you have earned through them.
Each chapter must be successfully assessed before the next chapter is unlocked, meaning the progress displayed on your profile represents completed and assessed learning — not simply a course you have accessed.
Your profile can be linked directly from your resume through your FRC QR code, allowing hiring managers to move beyond a static list of courses and see evidence of your ongoing professional development.
The financial-services recruitment process is competitive. Employers are assessing candidates against academic backgrounds, experience, technical knowledge and evidence of commitment to the industry.
Your FRC Digital Profile is built to cut through that noise.
Instead of relying solely on claims made on a resume, your profile gives employers additional evidence of what you are actively studying, what you have completed and how far you have progressed through assessed learning.
That gives hiring managers more information when comparing candidates and can help reduce the uncertainty and friction involved in assessing your application.
The result is a stronger professional profile, greater employer confidence and a better opportunity to progress from application to interview.
Your Singapore foundation can become the starting point for a broader international career pathway.
Through FRC's multi-jurisdiction extensions, you can expand your professional development across 13 financial jurisdictions, building additional knowledge as your career objectives and target markets evolve.
Whether your ambition is to build your career in Singapore, move across Asia, pursue opportunities in the United States or develop a broader European and international financial-services career, the programme gives you a foundation that can be extended as your career develops.
